Vacation with Purpose on Sanibel Island
Every Stay at Sandalfoot Helps Protect Local Wildlife
There’s something about Sanibel Island that stays with you. Maybe it’s the quiet mornings by the water, the wildlife you spot without even trying, or the feeling of being somewhere that still feels natural and untouched. At Sandalfoot, we believe that what makes this place special is worth protecting—and that your vacation can be part of that story.
That’s why a portion of every reservation is donated to CROW Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife across Sanibel Island and Southwest Florida. Their work plays a vital role in preserving the ecosystems that make this destination so unique.
If you’ve ever watched shorebirds skim the coastline, seen dolphins just beyond the waves, or come across sea turtle tracks in the sand, you’ve experienced what makes Sanibel Island unlike anywhere else. Protecting that experience requires ongoing care. Each year, CROW Clinic treats thousands of animals, with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats and maintaining the balance of this fragile coastal environment.
When you stay at Sandalfoot, you’re part of that effort without changing a thing about your trip. You can still relax, explore, and enjoy the island at your own pace—while knowing your visit is helping support wildlife rescue and conservation behind the scenes. It’s a simple way to travel more meaningfully and stay connected to the place you came to enjoy.
We’re proud to support CROW and their mission to protect Sanibel Island’s wildlife. And we’re grateful to our guests for being part of it. Because the best vacations don’t just take you somewhere beautiful—they help preserve it for years to come.
