2nd Annual Island Hopper Singer-Songwriter Festival September 17 – 27
Are you craving a visit to Sanibel, and would you also like to hear some great music while you are here? The 2nd Annual Island Hopper Songwriter Fest may be right up your alley. The Festival kicks off in Captiva at venues including South Seas Resort, Key Lime Bistro, and Cantina Captiva, Thursday September 17th through Sunday September 20th. Historic downtown Fort Myers will feature performances mid-week, and then the event moves to Fort Myers Beach for the weekend of the 25th – 27th.
Singer-songwriters who have penned No. 1 hits for such artists as Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, and Lee Ann Womack will perform at multiple venues. Presented by The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel; BMI, the largest music rights organization in the US; iHeart Media; and, Cat Country 107.1. Audience members will have the unique opportunity to hear inspirational music and stories by these composers, plus enjoy live music in lovely beach surroundings.
Confirmed artists include Dylan Altman, known for writing Jason Aldean’s “Take a Little Ride”, Kristian Bush, one half of the award-winning Sugarland, and Phillip White, who wrote “I’m a Survivor,” the theme song for TV’s Reba.
