One of the most popular Island activities opens again this Sunday, October 4th for its 8th season. From 8 am until 1pm, Sanibel residents and visitors can greet over 50 vendors as you make your way from one delicious offering to the next. Fresh produce, seafood, cheese and honey are only a few of the products on display at the Farmer’s Market, and items such as handmade soap, flowers, green tea and fresh bakery items will keep you coming back week after week (or wishing you could!)
Consistently highly ranked on Trip Advisor as a favorite Sanibel Island activity (read some of the terrific reviews!) the Farmer’s Market runs from Sunday, October 4th until Sunday, April 23rd and is held on the grounds of Sanibel City Hall. For the second year in a row, the Farmer’s Market is opening a month earlier than planned, due to overwhelming requests from enthusiastic foodies.
You can make your way on foot, by bicycle or by car. Parking is provided in lots at City Hall, the Sanibel Library, BIG ARTS and the Herb Strauss Theater. Come early because this very popular island event brings out the crowds. See you at the Farmer’s Market!
