One of the joys of living in or visiting Southwest Florida is time spent on the water. If your own boat is not a possibility, take advantage of one of the many companies offering you cruises to explore this wonderful natural resource.
Adventures in Paradise is a local company in business since 1986. The Stewart family’s love of nature and the water led them to southwest Florida and Sanibel Island. Since they discovered Sanibel and started their business, their fleet has grown to three Corinthian Power catamarans, “Miss Paradise”, “Sun Princess” and “Dolphin Waters.” Each can accommodate up to 49 passengers, and carries certified Coast Guard safety equipment and life jackets. Each captain is thoroughly qualified, well-trained and certified. They are anxious to share the waters, and the interesting creatures that live in them, with visitors to our area.

The Shelling and Lunch Cruise is always popular. Adventures in Paradise takes you to a remote barrier island only accessible by boat. You’ll revel in clean Gulf waters and abundant shells! On each tour, the captain and an on-board naturalist will make your cruise informative and special – and most likely one-of-a-kind. Bring a swimsuit, towel and shell bag.
Tickets are $59 for adults and $39 for children (3 and under free). Cruise times are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Shelling and Lunch Cruise departs at 8:30 and returns at 2:30, and you can bring your own lunch, or have an outing at “Barnacles” on North Captiva Island.
