A favorite of locals and visitors alike, The Sanibel Fishing Pier is the perfect location to watch the sunrise, bird watch and of course a harbors wide variety of fish. Depending upon the time of year you visit, you’ll see redfish, sheepshead, snapper king mackerel as well as baitfish such as glass minnows and scaled sardines.
Due to its east-end location, the shelling around this short pier on “Point Yble” is equally amazing. There are picnic tables, restrooms and trails in the area. The area around the Fishing Pier is a wetland preserve.
